Zakaria change to BVB finally off the table?

Borussia Dortmund has reportedly finally distanced itself from a possible signing of Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Denis Zakaria. The Gladbach star is said to be too expensive for BVB.

It has been clear for a few weeks that Denis Zakaria will be leaving Gladbach and moving on to a new club. Only the date of the change is still open.

If Borussia from the Lower Rhine receives a valuable offer for the 25-year-old Swiss by the end of the winter transfer period, he will examine it and possibly accept it despite the expected sporting weakness, sporting director Max Eberl recently announced.

However, there is currently “nothing on my desk,” added the Gladbach manager.

Probably no BVB offer for Denis Zakaria

BVB will probably not make any serious efforts to win Zakaria either in January or with a view to the coming summer, even if the midfielder is still on the market.

According to “WAZ” the reigning DFB Cup winner is now “far removed” from an obligation. “Bild” had recently reported that Zakaria would definitely not find his way to BVB in winter.

Apparently, financial constraints make Dortmund’s withdrawal in poker for the Gladbach professional necessary. BVB’s scope is said to be limited by the effects of the corona pandemic and the renewed (almost) ghost games in the second half of the season.

Denis Zakaria from Gladbach to the Premier League?

From an economic point of view, milk and honey continue to flow despite the pandemic in the English Premier League.

So it’s no wonder that there are increasing signs that Zakaria could be drawn there. Manchester United are said to be hot contenders for a transfer.

The Red Devils would like to strike until the end of January, so they would have to shell out a transfer fee in addition to Zakaria’s salary.
