Rafael Nadal gave up another set, but ultimately reached the third round in Wimbledon with ease.
The Grand Slam record winner from Spain won against the Lithuanian Ricardas Berankis 6: 4, 6: 4, 4: 6, 6: 3 and now meets Lorenzo Sonego from Italy. For Nadal it was the 16th success in one of the four largest tennis tournaments in a row.
The 36-year-old, who had to go four sets in the first round, is still in contention for the calendar Grand Slam, the triumph at the four biggest tennis tournaments in one season.
Nadal has already won the Australian and French Open despite his chronic foot problems.
He last triumphed at Wimbledon in 2010.
