Will Robert Lewandowski leave FC Bayern and fulfill his dream at Real Madrid?

Robert Lewandowski’s contract with FC Bayern runs until the end of the 2023 season. After that, the two-time world footballer would be available on a free transfer. According to the Spanish media, this should not happen in the first place. Accordingly, the Pole is pushing for a change after the current season. His dream destination: Real Madrid.

Like the portal”El Españolreported, Robert Lewandowski still “dreams” of playing for the Royals one day. The star striker from FC Bayern knows that he “has a great opportunity next summer and doesn’t want to let it slip away,” it continues .

The “Sport Bild” recently reported that a transfer is possible this summer. However, only if both sides cannot agree on a new contract. A decision on this should be made in the “coming months”.

Munich are said to be offering the Polish national team captain a contract extension until 2024 with the same salary. According to rumours, Lewandowski is the absolute top earner at the record champions with an annual salary of almost 24 million euros.

Alternatively, the contract could also be extended until 2025, but in this case the Bayern star would have to accept a lower salary.

FC Bayern star at Real Madrid only third choice

While Lewandowski is flirting with Real Madrid, it is unclear whether the Spaniards are still interested in the Polish striker. As “El Espanol” reports, the Bundesliga’s top scorer is only a third choice.

Accordingly, the focus in the summer is on a commitment from French world champion Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain and BVB star Erling Haaland. Should one of these two transfers fall through, Lewandowski will be dealt with more intensively in the Spanish capital.

Curiously, there could then be a transfer duel between FC Bayern and Real Madrid. Because if Lewandowski does not extend his contract in Munich, Haaland should be the first choice for the German record champions. According to “Sport Bild”, Bayern have already registered their interest with Haaland’s advisor Mino Raiola.
