Niklas Süle will leave FC Bayern at the end of the season. The national player himself already knows which club he will play for next, but the public is still puzzling. BVB is also said to be in the raffle. However, a move to Dortmund is not really realistic.
According to consultant Volker Struth, the decision as to which club Niklas Süle will play for next season has already been made. In the eyes of the consultant, it is unlikely that anything will change in this decision, as he explained in “Sport1-Doppelpass” on Sunday.
Since neither Struth nor Süle have announced which club will continue, there is still speculation about the future of the national player.
Has BVB Süle submitted an offer?
According to consistent media reports, the man from Munich was and is still an issue on the BVB executive floor.
“Sport1” and “Goal” report a “fundamental interest” in the black and yellow, the portal “transfermarkt” even claims to have heard of “long talks” between the Dortmunders and the Süle camp. A concrete offer should also have been submitted.
The financial side speaks against a change to BVB. Süle should demand a salary of twelve to 15 million euros from his new club. That could simply be too much for those responsible in Dortmund.
BVB threatens to leave Akanji
At the same time, BVB is struggling in defense. Manuel Akanji is said to have turned down the recent offer to extend his contract. With the Swiss, the signs are goodbye – in this case a replacement is urgently needed. Theoretically, Süle would be a candidate. However, it is unlikely that the black and yellow will break their salary structure for him.
According to consistent reports, a Süle move to the Premier League is therefore much more likely. There, the central defender could not only play at the highest level, but also earn his desired sum.
Chelsea FC is the favorite for his commitment. The Londoners are likely to lose two defenders on a free transfer in Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rüdiger in the summer. Süle would be the candidate who could (inexpensively) close the gap.
