At Werder Bremen, striker Niclas Füllkrug left the quarantine again ten days after a positive corona test. This was announced by the second division soccer team.
The 28-year-old could therefore be back in the first competitive game of the new year against Fortuna Düsseldorf on Saturday. According to the club, the Bremen health department approved the release of the filling jug from domestic isolation after several negative test results and a corresponding recommendation from the Robert Koch Institute.
Werder professionals Milos Veljkovic, Marco Friedl and Manuel Mbom were also allowed to leave the quarantine beforehand. Because of the positive tests of these four players at the beginning of January, the Bremen team canceled their planned training camp in Spain at short notice.
The young Werder striker Abdenego Nankishi is new in quarantine. According to the club, the 19-year-old tested positive for the corona virus. Nankishi recently dropped out due to knee problems.
