Free agent Vlatko Cancar has agreed to a three-year renewal deal with the Denver Nuggets. According to agent Misko Raznatovicthe third year is subject to a team option.
Selected 49th in the 2017 draft, Cancar has completed his first three seasons in the NBA with the Colorado franchise jersey. However, he has not been able to establish himself regularly in coach Michael Malone’s rotation, having been affected in the 2021-22 season by a fracture in his right foot.
Even so, Cancar closed this past season with numbers of 4.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 11.7 minutes per game, all of them personal career highs.
With this agreement, the Nuggets complete their quota of fifteen guaranteed contracts for next season, although it is possible that some other change will take place before the first game of regular season. New faces in the locker room include Bruce Brown, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and DeAndre Jordan.
