Although he has left moments of lucidity, Victor Oladipo has not managed to return his market value to where it once was. He doesn’t even seem to have stayed close. The shooting guard ends his contract and will be a free agent without restrictions, so it does not seem that the Miami Heat have retaining him as a priority. In your last article for Bleacher Report, Jake Fischer points out that Pat Riley prefers to wait to see what the market offers before making a decision with Oladipo. Sacramento Kings, Washington Wizards and Detroit Pistons are on the prowl.
The offers that reach the shooting guard are expected to be in a range close to the average exception for luxury equipment. That is, just over six million dollars. This would already be a considerable increase compared to the 1.7 million received last year. The Heat have their rights to Bird to offer him a higher contract than anyone else, but from what has been explained it is unlikely that they will exercise that advantage.
