After six Bundesliga defeats in a row, coach Florian Kohfeldt from VfL Wolfsburg has issued a clear motto for the game against table neighbors Hertha BSC (Saturday, 3:30 p.m. / Sky).
“It doesn’t matter how – win,” said Kohfeldt about the goal in the crisis duel: “I want a win, dirty, beautiful or with drums and trumpets.”
Six consecutive bankruptcies in the league mean a negative club record for the Wolves, as does the total of ten defeats after 18 match days. 14th place in the table does not even begin to meet the requirements of the works club. “We have to regain confidence in our own strength,” said sports director Marcel Schäfer.
Kohfeldt can again plan against the Berliners with former Hertha player Dodi Lukebakio, the attacker, like midfield talent Aster Vranckx, has trained with the team again after surviving a coronavirus infection. Both are “candidates for a mission on Saturday,” said Kohfeldt.
