Bundesliga club VfL Bochum has signed another player for right-back.

As the Westphalians announced, Gambian international Saidy Janko has been loaned out for the coming season by newly promoted Spanish Premier League team Real Valladolid. VfL has secured a purchase option for the 26-year-old, who was born and raised in Switzerland.

Janko is “in the best footballer age, he has speed and athleticism and because of his CV he knows the requirements at the highest national football level,” said Bochum’s sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz. Janko has already played in the top leagues of Switzerland, Scotland, France and Spain.

In the 23-year-old Englishman Jordi Osei-Tutu, VfL only signed a player last Thursday who is mainly used on the right-hand side of defence.
