Two Africa Cup of Nations games postponed

Because of the poor space in the stadium in Douala, two games of the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon have been moved to Yaoundé. This was announced by the African Association (CAF) on Wednesday. A quarter-final and the first semi-final, which is scheduled for February 2, are affected.

The association had already confirmed on Tuesday that the Olembe Stadium would no longer be played after the deadly mass panic. On Monday, eight people died in this stadium and 38 were injured. Seven of them heavy.

The quarter-finals, scheduled for Sunday at the Olembe Stadium, have been moved to another arena in Cameroon’s capital, Yaoundé.
