In addition to Han, defending champion Petrissa Solja, European Mixed Champion Nina Mittelham and European Championship runner-up Xiaona Shan can expect good chances among the women. Together, Silja and Shan triumphed in doubles in 2021. The quintet, which also includes the German champion Sabine Winter, is in positions one, three, five, eight and 18 in the European rankings. The two young hopefuls Annett Kaufmann and Franziska Schreiner complete the squad.
Last fall, the two German teams won the European Team Championships in Cluj, Romania. Previously there had been three second places in addition to the four gold medals at the individual European Championships in Warsaw.
