The return of Victor Oladipo points to February

Victor Oladipo was the great bet of the Miami Heat during the closing of the 2021 market in the hope that he would give them that extra boost that would allow them to establish themselves as authentic contest. However, the shooting guard only played four games before knee problems forced him to undergo surgery.

A procedure that then revealed a prolonged recovery that even threatened to keep him off the track for the entire 2021-22 season. For this reason, the franchise and the player opted for a renewal of only one year and for the minimum salary in order to check his health status and study his continuity in the project.

Although Oladipo has not yet been able to dress in shorts this season, it seems that his return is a matter of weeks. As reported by the journalist miami herald Barry Jackson, the Heat hope to have him “sometime in February.”

Jackson also shared that Oladipo is training at a good pace with the Heat, running unrestricted in practice and participating in shooting sessions alongside team assistants.

The return of Oladipo would be great news for a Heat that, despite the numerous injuries and absences due to COVID-19 they have suffered, are currently in first position in the Eastern Conference. It only remains to check which version will show after almost a year without competing at the highest level.
