The Nuggets are hoping to get Michael Porter Jr. back this season

The surgical procedure that Michael Porter Jr. underwent at the beginning of last December to tackle his back problems threatened to put an end to his season. An outcome that is still very present but that, apparently, is not as pessimistic as then.

Several recent rumors have suggested that the small forward could still dress in a short before the end of the season. A witness collected by the journalist from ESPN Adrian Wojnarowski, who has been able to talk with the president of the Denver Nuggets, Tim Connelly, and the player’s agent, Mark Bartelstein.

According to Woj, both are very excited about the way Porter Jr.’s rehabilitation is progressing, which has triggered optimism within the franchise. In fact, he says that the belief has grown that “we will see him again this season.”

This would be an important boost for the Nuggets if they manage to close their qualification for the playoffs. They currently occupy the sixth position in the Western Conference despite the numerous injury losses they have suffered.

Porter Jr.’s numbers rise to 9.9 points and 6.6 rebounds in the nine games he played earlier in the season. He had previously signed a maximum extension of five years and up to 207 million dollars.
