The Lakers get Doumbouya back with a two-way contract

Sekou Doumbouya returns to the Lakers. As reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic, the 22-year-old returns to the Los Angeles organization with a two-way contract.

The forward, chosen by the Detroit Pistons in 15th place in the 2019 draft, has already played two games this year with the Californians, since he was signed in October with a contract equal to the current one. In those games he averaged 7 points and 3 rebounds in 8 minutes per night.

Parallel to this move, the Lakers have released center Jay Huff, a necessary move to make room for Doumbouya, who will be able to alternate between the Frank Vogel-led team and the G League affiliate.
