The Atlanta Hawks and San Antonio Spurs are in negotiations for the transfer of DeJounte Murray. In recent days there has been speculation about the possible departure of the All-Star point guard, and everything indicates that the Georgia franchise could be his next destination to play alongside Trae Young, sources from journalist Zach Klein point out.
Between both teams, a package of players and/or future rounds of the Draft would have been negotiated, which would not include John Collins, who currently has the transferable poster along with center Clint Capela.
The Hawks would send Italian Danilo Gallinari to the Spurs along with a package of future first-round picks in exchange for Murray, who has two years remaining on his contract for a total of $34.28 million.
Murray has had his best season in the NBA with averages of 21.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, 9.3 assists and 2 steals in 34.8 minutes per day.
It is believed that the Spurs will begin a reconstruction with a view to the next Draft 2023 where the young French promise Victor Wembanyama is interested, currently in the ranks of the French ASVEL owned by former player Tony Parker.
