Less than half a year later, show jumper Maurice Tebbel returned from the Netherlands to his father’s stables in Emsbüren, Lower Saxony.

The 28-year-old Olympic rider has been working for the stables of Jan Tops & Athina Onassis in Valkenswaard since February 1st.

“Now he’s back to prepare our youngsters for the big sport and to further expand the trade,” said the Rene Tebbel stallion station via Instagram.

The son of the former German champion Rene Tebbel recently belonged to the German national team several times at major events and won bronze with the team at the 2018 World Cup in the USA.

Maurice Tebbel currently has no horse to keep up with the international elite. Don Diarado, ridden by Tebbel at the Olympics, has been ridden by Harm Lahde for a few months at the owner’s request.
