The Prevc ski jumping family is richer by one title: 16-year-old Slovenian Nika Prevc, sister of Peter (29), Cene (25) and Domen (22), who have long been established at the top of the world, is the new Junior World Champion.
Nika Prevc prevailed in Zakopane, Poland, ahead of her teammate Taja Bodlaj and underpinned the current Slovenian supremacy in women’s ski jumping.
In distant Norway, the brothers cheered along. “When you’re mad at yourself, but forget everything when you see that your sister just became junior world champion. Wuhuuuu!!!!!”, Cene Prevc wrote on Twitter after his seventh place at the World Cup in Lillehammer . The parents Bozidar and Julijana Prevc have a fifth child, but Emma Prevc is only twelve years old.
As the best German, Michelle Göbel (Willingen) took tenth place in Zakopane. Pia Lilian Kübler (Zschopau) and Anna-Fay Scharfenberg (Zella-Mehlis) followed in 17th and 18th place.
