There is often no place for Goncalo Paciência in Eintracht Frankfurt’s starting XI. Now he is said to have agreed on a change with the Spanish first division club FC Granada.
Granada FC are in search of a new centre-forward this winter. Those responsible initially targeted Abel Ruiz from Sporting Braga, but then realized that the transfer was not financially viable.
Therefore, the focus of the Spaniards is now on Goncalo Paciência from Eintracht Frankfurt. This reports the “Estadio Deportivo“.
The 27-year-old Portuguese has only started once this season and has only played in 14 games. These were often just brief assignments. There is no getting past Rafael Borré for the player, who is seeded under Oliver Glasner. Nonetheless, Paciência scored four goals.

The center forward’s contract with SGE runs until 2023, but he would like to leave Hessen in January. His advisors are in constant contact with Granada and he is said to have already reached an agreement with the Spanish first division club. The club would like to only loan him out until the end of the season.
The problem: Eintracht Frankfurt should only be interested in a deal if Granada also commits to the Portuguese. It does not matter whether this is the case immediately or only at the end of the loan via an automatically activated purchase clause.
Another problem is said to be Paciência’s high salary. This can hardly be done for Granada, but the newspaper continues to report that the striker could come to the club. A timely change should not be ruled out despite the differences between Granada and Eintracht Frankfurt.
