Superstar Serena Williams doesn’t just feel inspired by her tennis colleague Rafael Nadal in terms of sport.
“I’ve always been a Rafa fan. I named my dog after him,” said the 40-year-old American at the Wimbledon lawn classic and said with a smile about her dog: “He’s so cute. I miss the little guy .”
Williams has won 23 Grand Slam titles in her career so far, one more than the Spaniard, who is four years younger.
“I’ve always stood by Rafa. It was really inspiring what he did this year. And he has a lot more to do.”
Nadal has won the Australian Open and French Open so far this season and is one of the favorites in Wimbledon despite chronic foot problems.
