Secret performance tests at FC Bayern

Without the national player and coach Julian Nagelsmann, FC Bayern quietly and secretly started preparations for the 2022/2023 season on Saturday.

As “Picture” reported, the pros of the record German soccer champions completed their first performance tests at the Barmherzige Brüder Hospital in Munich. There is Prof. Dr. Roland Schmidt from the medical department of FC Bayern works as chief physician for internal medicine.

The most prominent faces of the still decimated squad were defender Dayot Upamecano and reserve goalkeeper Sven Ulreich.

For the group around the duo, a second part of the performance diagnostics is on the program on Sunday. This will be carried out on Säbener Straße.

FC Bayern’s first team training session without fans

The first team training session is on Monday. This will take place behind closed doors to the public due to construction work on the training grounds.

FC Bayern fans will therefore have to be patient until they see their favorites up close again.

The further timetable for the series champion is also in place: Some of the national players will start training again next Friday (July 8th). Frequent players like captain Manuel Neuer and striker Robert Lewandowski are expected back on the following Tuesday (July 12).

However, there is still a question mark behind Lewandowski’s appearance. The 33-year-old Pole wants to leave the club and absolutely push for an immediate move to FC Barcelona. According to media reports, even a training strike cannot be completely ruled out.

FC Bayern has so far been adamant about the Lewandowski cause given his contract, which runs until 2023. The Munich team is said to have already rejected three offers from Barca.

Only from a base transfer of 50 million euros plus possible bonuses should those responsible be ready to talk, it was said recently.
