SC Paderborn: newcomer suffers cruciate ligament rupture

New signing Sebastian Klaas will be absent from second division soccer club SC Paderborn for several months. The 23-year-old suffered a torn posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in the friendly against SC Verl (2-2). That was the result of an MRI scan on Monday.

The offensive player had just switched from third division club VfL Osnabrück to Ostwestfalen.

“We very much regret the injury and will do everything to ensure that Sebastian can be back on the pitch soon. He will certainly play an important role in our squad as the season progresses,” said SCP Managing Director Fabian Wohlgemuth.
