Bundesliga club SC Freiburg is further upgrading its offensive for the coming season. As the Breisgauer announced, winger Ritsu Doan comes from the Dutch top club PSV Eindhoven.
The SC did not provide any information about the transfer terms or the contract period. The Japanese international had already played on loan for Arminia Bielefeld in the Bundesliga in the 2020/21 season.
“Ritsu is technically very gifted, can do one-on-one and also knows how to threaten goals,” said sporting director Klemens Hartenbach: “He brings good spatial behavior and energy to the pitch.”
Doan himself spoke of “intense” and “convincing” talks. “Freiburg is the right place to get even better personally and with the team,” said the 24-year-old.
The attacking winger scored eleven goals in 39 competitive games for Eindhoven last season. Before Doan, the SC had already signed Daniel-Kofi Kyereh from the second division club FC St. Pauli for the offensive.
