RSC Anderlecht want to keep Joshua Zirkzee

After a little over six months, Joshua Zirkzee’s loan appearance at RSC Anderlecht can already be described as a direct hit – much to the delight of FC Bayern, who can expect a much more mature attacker in the summer. According to the latest media reports, the Belgians would like to keep their goalscorer longer.

Last weekend, Joshua Zirkzee probably scored his most beautiful goal as a professional player: In the 4-1 win against KAS Eupen, the Dutchman scored with an overhead kick to make it 3-1.

The 20-year-old was then enthusiastically celebrated by his teammates for scoring his twelfth goal of the season.

No question – the loan deal, which was secured in August 2021, has so far been worthwhile for all sides: Anderlecht has landed a highly talented, goal-hungry striker for comparatively little money, Zirkzee has improved its international reputation enormously and FC Bayern will soon a mature, but above all significantly more valuable youngster back in the squad.

FC Bayern: Will Joshua Zirkzee stay in Anderlecht?

Of course, RSC Anderlecht dreams of keeping Zirkzee with them a little longer. According to information from the Belgian daily “Het Nieuwsblad” Those responsible for the traditional club are flirting with an extension of the loan. However, the goalgetter would first have to extend it in Munich, his working paper there expires in 2023.

On the other hand, Anderlecht does not seem to be aiming for a permanent transfer. It is said that Zirkzee is simply unattainable financially despite his short remaining contract term with FC Bayern.

It is currently unclear whether the Oranje jewel is actually planned on Säbener Straße in the medium to long term. In Munich, the reputation of occasionally lacking the necessary seriousness preceded him.

However, 18 goals (twelve goals, six assists) in Belgium have recently improved his shares again.
