After slipping 1-0 at Getafe, Real returned to winning ways with a 4-1 win over Valencia in La Liga on Sunday. “It was important for us to win the next league game after the defeat in Getafe. Our goal is clear, we want to be at the top at the end of the season,” ex-Bayern professional David Alaba said before the game.
Real Madrid have now won all of their last five meetings with FC Barcelona.
