The Cavaliers continue to strengthen the point guard position. After confirming the return of Ricky Rubio with a three-year contract, the Ohio organization has now closed the arrival of Raul Neto; reports Shams Charania of The Athletic.
The point guard Brazilian lands in Cleveland after signing two seasons at a good level in Washington. There, in the capital of the United States, he has averaged 8.1 points, 2.7 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 1 steal in 20.7 minutes per night, always being a fixture in the rotation.
Regarding his role in the Cavs, this may vary throughout the campaign. Ricky Rubio likely isn’t ready to start the season, so Neto would be the usual replacement for Darius Garland. Once the three are there, we will have to wait to see what JB Bickerstaff has in mind, who last year made Garland and Rubio coincide for many minutes on the track.
