Portland Trail Blazers management plans to offer captain Damian Lillard an additional 2-year contract extension and more than $100 million, media sources say. The Bleacher Report.
Lillard is contracted through the 2024-25 season with a player option valued at $48.78 million. Assuming that he accepts this, the Oregon franchise would like to retain him until next 2027.
Selected in 6th place in the 2012 Draft by the Blazers themselves, in his NBA career he has played 711 official games with averages of 24.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1 steal in 36.6 minutes per day.
Among his awards are: six times All-Star; Best NBA Team 2018; four times selected for the NBA Second Best Team; rookie of the Year 2013 and member of the Best Team rookies 2013. Likewise, with the national team he won the gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
