Two weeks before the start of the Winter Olympics in Beijing, concerns about corona are growing among Norwegian ski jumpers.
After Daniel Andre Tande’s COVID-19 illness, Johann Andre Forfang has now also tested positive.
According to the Norwegian radio “NRK”, the jumpers are scheduled to leave for China on January 31st. However, those who tested positive must prove that they are no longer contagious with two negative results by January 26th. That hardly seems possible.
Head coach Alexander Stöckl therefore already refers to the “waiting list” with substitute athletes.
However, the possibility of a later arrival is also being discussed for Tande and Forfang.
