“The Last Dance”, the highly acclaimed documentary about NBA legend Michael Jordan, can be seen on German free TV for the first time.
The DMAX broadcaster will show the ten-part series in double episodes every Sunday from 10:15 p.m. starting August 7th. So far, the documentary had only been shown on Netflix, a paid streaming service.
The series, directed by Jason Hehir, focuses on the 1997/98 NBA season. Jordan, the best basketball player in history, won his sixth and final title with the Chicago Bulls in the North American professional league. The material contains scenes that have never been shown before, in addition to Jordan, his then teammates Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman and Steve Kerr as well as coach Phil Jackson have their say.
There are insights behind the scenes, the documentary also provides a look back at the time when it all began – from Jordan’s roots to the structure of the team in the 80s to the first titles.
