National player Reichmann moves to the third division for TV Emsdetten

National player Tobias Reichmann is moving to the third division handball team TV Emsdetten.

The 34-year-old, who last played for MT Melsungen in the Bundesliga, should shape the new start at the Münsterland club and make a major contribution to the planned promotion.

Reichmann, who became European champion and Olympic bronze medalist in 2016 with the DHB selection, will receive a contract in Emsdetten until the summer of 2023, as the club announced.

The trained right winger should be used as a right backcourt player in the second division relegated team.

“I’m really keen on attacking in the back for a few more years and approaching the game from a different perspective and with more responsibility for my neighbors and the young players in the squad,” said Reichmann, according to the club’s announcement. “The TVE gives me the chance to do that. In addition, the concept of the TVE for the coming years, both in and around the club, has convinced me and I want to do my part to lead the TVE back into the Bundesliga!”
