On Sunday (5:30 p.m.) FC Bayern will be visiting Hertha BSC in the Bundesliga. Coach Julian Nagelsmann answers journalists’ questions in advance.
sport.de reported today from 1:30 p.m. in the live ticker at this point from the press talk of the record champion.
+++ FC Bayern before extension with Manuel Neuer +++
Julian Nagelsmann may comment in the PK on a recently hotly traded personality: According to consistent media reports, Manuel Neuer is about to extend his contract, which expires in 2023, until the summer of 2025.
Neuer moved to Munich from FC Schalke 04 in 2011 and won the championship nine times and the Champions League twice with the team.
Honorary President Uli Hoeneß recently described Neuer as FC Bayern’s “veteran” in an interview with the “Abendzeitung”.
“Manuel will end his career here anyway. He has to end his career here. I have no doubt about that,” added the long-time manager, club president and ex-chairman of the supervisory board.
+++ Hertha BSC only cannon fodder for Bayern? +++
The role of favorites in FC Bayern’s away game in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium on Sunday is clear. After losing the first half of the season against Borussia Mönchengladbach, Bayern got back on track with a 4-0 win at 1. FC Köln.
Hertha BSC, on the other hand, started the new year with a 3-1 defeat against Cologne and a 0-0 draw at troubled VfL Wolfsburg.
In addition, the table-13 was eliminated. Bundesliga during the week in the derby against Union Berlin from the DFB Cup. A 2-3 defeat shattered (once again) the Old Lady’s dreams of a final at home.
What does Julian Nagelsmann expect from Hertha BSC? And how does the FC Bayern head coach intend to ensure that his players don’t take their opponents lightly? The 34-year-old will probably (have to) answer these questions in the press talk.
