Spain’s national soccer player Alvaro Morata is returning to Atlético Madrid for the time being. The striker’s loan deal at Juventus ended on Thursday.
The old lady would have had to pay Atlético 35 million euros to keep Morata employed. The 29-year-old has been on loan since 2020 and his contract with Atlético runs until 2023.
Morata, who previously played for Juve from 2014 to 2016, would have happily stayed in Turin. Playing in this jersey is “one of the greatest things for him,” he said. Morata may have a way back to Juve should Atlético scale back his demands in the coming weeks, Italian media wrote.
Juve also announced on Thursday that Paulo Dybala and Federico Bernadeschi will leave the club. Both contracts expire. Dybala is already linked with Inter Milan.
