The rumors have finally been confirmed. Mitchell Robinson will continue to wear the New York Knicks jersey after having reached a renewal agreement for the next 4 seasons and a total of 60 million dollars, his agents confirmed to the media. ESPN.
After Noel’s departure to Detroit Pistons and the alleged dismissal of Taj Gibson, Robinson will become the Knicks’ main internal reference after leaving behind the physical problems that barely allowed him to play 31 games last season 2020-21.
Robinson, 24, came to the Knicks in the second round of the 2018 Draft after opting to skip college. The center prepared himself on his own, and finally found a place in the best league in the world, being included in the Best Rookie Team of 2019.
Last year he played 72 official games with averages of 8.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 25.7 minutes per day.
