But wasn’t Dennis Schröder the one who could end up in Milwaukee for Donte DiVincenzo? Yes, but in that same deal, the Bucks would have inquired about the possibility of including Grant Williams in the deal. at least like this advances it Jared Weiss in The Athletic.
The salaries of the two outsiders would make a bareback trade between the Bucks and Celtics possible, but Schröder appears to have less market value than Boston expected. According to Weiss, it is not the first time that the Celtics try to place the German and end up asking him about Williams. After all, the small forward is a much easier piece to fit into any team’s structure. Even more so in that of the top contenders.
Grant Williams is one of the most valuable pieces the Celtics can trade. He has a more than affordable salary, youth and is having the most solid season of his short career. For this reason, the greens prefer Josh Richardson to end up leaving, but they may have to twist their arm to save the luxury tax before the market closes.
