Mega Sprint: Leaker announces new mechanics

Fortnite is known for constantly adding new content. A “tactical sprint” mechanism, which is already used in other shooters, will apparently be introduced soon.

The extremely reliable leaker “HYPEX” posted on Twitter that Epic Games is working on said game mechanics. This is the speed boost known from Call of Duty, for example, which can be activated for a short time.

In Fortnite, the functionality is said to be similar. If the tactical sprint is used while running down a hill, for example, the speed increases even further.

Mobility is a major concern for Fortnite fans

Also, the field of view will likely be adjusted as well. Because the faster you are, the more the camera should shake – just like in the case of the newly introduced slide animation.

Changes that promise more mobility are usually welcomed by Fortnite fans. Spider-Man’s web shooter was also well received by the community, as it allows you to navigate the map very quickly.

As with other games, the mega sprint is likely to be triggered by pressing the sprint button twice. However, when this mechanic will come into play is still unclear.
