Because of his loose mouth, Marcelo is missing the Spanish soccer record champions Real Madrid in the cup competition until the final, should the royal team reach it.

The Brazilian was suspended for three games after his red card in the round of 16 at FC Elche (2-1 aet).

The national player received one game for being sent off in extra time (102nd), two for his subsequent insult to the referee (“You’re really bad”).

Marcelo is missing the Copa del Rey quarter-finals at Athletic Bilbao (March 2) and a possible two-leg semi-final. Marcelo also has to pay 1200 euros, Real Madrid 1050 euros.
