Marc Márquez ahead of MotoGP comeback

It is becoming increasingly likely that Marc Márquez will make his comeback to MotoGP next weekend. On Tuesday, the Spaniard tested a Honda CBR600RR at the Alcarras circuit.

Recent problems with diplopia appear to be over. On Wednesday, Márquez will fly to the United States if the supersport bike test comes back positive.

After his highside in the warm-up of the Indonesia Grand Prix, Márquez had to miss the races in Indonesia and Argentina.

The ex-champion is working on his regeneration back home and could get back on his Honda RC213V at the weekend.

The Circuit of the Americas in Austin is one of Márquez’s absolute parade routes. The Spaniard was able to prevail against the MotoGP opponents seven times on the course in Texas. Most recently, Márquez triumphed last year, despite his limited fitness.

At the Argentine Grand Prix, Honda test driver Stefan Bradl stepped in as a substitute. The German missed the points when he jumped into deep water and finished in 19th place.
