Manuel Neuer sets a Kahn record

Captain Manuel Neuer from FC Bayern has set the winning record in the Bundesliga.

The 35-year-old goalkeeper scored his 310th success in his 458th Bundesliga game with the record champions on Saturday evening in a 3-2 (2-1) win over RB Leipzig.

He drew level with Bayern’s CEO Oliver Kahn, who had scored 310 times in 557 games. Thomas Müller (also Munich/296 in 404) is in third place on the list.

“I said last week that he could leave me any record,” said Kahn before the game against Leipzig on Sky with a smile: “But that’s not the case. This shows his stability and class. If there is one deserved, then he.”

Neuer achieved 233 wins (302 games) with Bayern and 77 wins (156) with Schalke 04. Kahn had won 260 times (429) with Bayern and 50 times (128) with Karlsruher SC.
