Manchester United sign first transfer under ten Hag

English football record champions Manchester United have signed left-back Tyrell Malacia.

The club announced this on Tuesday. The 22-year-old joins the Red Devils from the Dutch first division club Feyenoord Rotterdam and has a contract until 2026 plus an option for a further year. It is the first signing under new team manager Erik ten Hag.

The transfer fee for the five-time Dutch national player is said to be around 15 million euros. Recently, Olympique Lyon had also shown interest in Malacia.

“It’s an incredible feeling to be at Manchester United. It’s a new chapter for me, a new league with new team-mates and a great coach to guide us,” said Malacia, who made 136 competitive appearances for Feyenoord (four goals ).
