Loose victory for Boston against Miami with 29 points from Jaylen Brown

The Boston Celtics beat the Miami Heat last night for their second win in a row and fourth in the last few days they’ve played.

Ime Udoka’s men prevailed by a final score of 92-122 with 29 points from Jaylen Brown. The Boston shooting guard made a fantastic 11-of-19 shooting from the field for his fourth straight game with at least 25 points to his credit.

For his part, Jayson Tatum contributed 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for a Celtics that led by up to 32 points on the scoreboard.

“We are still working on some things, but I am very encouraged by the progress of our group,” Al Horford (14 points and 9 rebounds) told the media. ESPN. “Now we can see what we can do and who we are,” he added.

The Miami Heat had to deal with the significant losses of Jimmy Butler (toe), PJ Tucker (knee) and Kyle Lowry (personal reasons), who missed the eighth straight game. In his absence Max Strus led Miami’s offense with 27 points and an outstanding 9-of-17 3-point shooting.

“We’ve played about seven minutes of good basketball, but the rest I’d love to throw in the garbage truck,” Erik Spoelstra admitted. “It was something uncharacteristic of us. But we’ve been through a lot in these last 72 hours.”

Captain Marcus Smart (16 points and 7 assists) said after the game that the Celtics are finding their game after their uneven start to the season. They are currently 9th in the East with a positive record of 27-25.

“I love all this. Especially with the adversity that we have been fighting since the beginning of the season. The ups and downs, not being consistent… For us to finally take this step in the right direction is huge for us,” Smart concluded.
