Leverkusen without substitute keeper Lunev for the time being

Bayer Leverkusen has had to do without substitute goalkeeper Andrey Lunev for months.

As the Bundesliga club announced, the 30-year-old Russian tore his right syndesmosis during training and will be operated on in the coming days.

His downtime is estimated by the club doctors at three months. Lunev moved to Leverkusen from Zenit St. Petersburg on a free transfer last summer as a possible alternative to regular goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky.
