Leon Draisaitl leads the Edmonton Oilers to another win

The Edmonton Oilers’ race to catch up in the NHL continues – and Leon Draisaitl (26) is a big part of it.

The German ice hockey star scored two goals in a 7-2 win over the Montreal Canadiens. It was the fourth win in a row for the Oilers after seven losses.

Draisaitl has scored 31 goals in 40 games this season and leads the league in this statistic.

Moritz Seider (20) also scored twice. The defenseman, who is having a strong debut season with the Detroit Red Wings, had two goals in the 7-4 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs, his number 22 and 23 assists in 44 games. He leads the assist statistics of the rookies. Tim Stützle (20) did not play a part in the Ottawa Senators’ 2-1 draw against the Anaheim Ducks.

Scandal Noodle also scores for the Oilers

Evander Kane (30) also entered the scorer list for the Oilers. Edmonton had signed the Canadian just a day earlier.

Kane was suspended for 21 games in October for violating corona protocol and the San Jose Sharks parted ways with him in early January.

US media had reported that Kane had attracted attention with a fake vaccination certificate. The NHL never confirmed this.

Previously, Kane was in the dark about his penchant for gambling and missed the Californians’ training camp due to allegations of domestic violence.
