Last chance for DSV jumpers in Titisee

National ski jumping coach Stefan Horngacher only wants to announce his final Olympic starters after the weekend in Titisee-Neustadt.

The 52-year-old Austrian told ZDF in Zakopane. Karl Geiger and Markus Eisenbichler can definitely assume that they will take part in the Winter Games in Beijing (February 4th to 20th).

Behind them, Stephan Leyhe, Pius Paschke, Constantin Schmid, Andreas Wellinger and Severin Freund are fighting for three more places. Wellinger left Zakopane injured after feeling a stab in his knee.

“We have to see how we continue – who goes to Titisee-Neustadt. Preparation for the Olympic Games begins,” said Horngacher. The competitions in the Black Forest are “the last chance to qualify”.
