Lahm about Götze and Mané: Bundesliga remains attractive

Philipp Lahm is calm about the possible departure of world footballer Robert Lewandowski from the Bundesliga. “It’s like that in football: players leave the league, players come,” said the honorary captain of the German national team of the German Press Agency.

The 2014 world champion is all the more pleased about Sadio Mané’s signing from FC Bayern and Mario Götze’s return to the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt.

“It’s very important that great players play in the Bundesliga. I’m just happy that Sadio Mané is moving from Liverpool to Bayern, who could certainly have played at other clubs. It’s also good that we see Mario Götze more often again the Bundesliga well,” said the tournament director of the EM 2024 in Germany.

The 38-year-old added: “I think it’s important that the Bundesliga remains attractive. I can see from the two arrivals that it’s absolutely a given.”
