A use of the injured line runner Jannik Kohlbacher at the European Handball Championship is apparently becoming increasingly unlikely.
As the “Mannheimer Morgen” reports, the 26-year-old will miss the start of training for the Bundesliga club Rhein-Neckar Löwen this Monday due to his adductor problems. Kohlbacher was originally supposed to recover from his complaints in Germany and then travel to the German national team in Slovakia.
“Jannik is still being treated and is not taking part in team training, but is completing his rehabilitation program. It didn’t look so good for him last week either,” said his club coach Klaus Gärtner to the newspaper.
Kohlbacher has been plagued with adductor problems since the end of last year. That’s why he didn’t initially fly to Bratislava with the DHB selection.
