Kingsley Coman is probably missing against 1. FC Köln

Kingsley Coman from FC Bayern Munich is currently working on his comeback after a muscle fiber tear and a corona infection. However, it will probably not be enough for a match against 1. FC Köln.

As “image” reported, the Frenchman will only be able to complete the first parts of team training at the beginning of next week. The 25-year-old is currently in advanced training and worked on Thursday morning together with rehabilitation coach Simon Martinello on his return.

The winger has been slowed down again and again this season. Coman initially had to sit out with a calf injury before having to undergo heart surgery last fall. At the end of the first half of the season, the tempo dribbler tore a muscle fiber. To make matters worse, Coman got infected with the corona virus during the winter break.

FC Bayern relies on Coman

Despite his susceptibility to injury, the right winger is clearly one of Bayern’s permanent staff. Only on Wednesday did the Munich team extend the national player’s contract until 2027.

“I’ve been at the club since 2015 – it feels like a big family. Everything is perfect here. My best years as a footballer are still ahead of me and I’m happy that I’ll be spending them at Bayern,” announced Coman after the announcement and added: “My biggest goal is to win the Champions League again – and this time please together with our fans.”

In 2020, Coman became a Munich hero with his winning goal in the premier class final against Paris Saint-Germain. Coach Julian Nagelsmann thinks highly of the offensive player. “In my opinion, he is one of the top wingers on the planet,” the 34-year-old praised the Bayern star last October.

In the away game at 1. FC Köln (Saturday, 3:30 p.m.), Nagelsmann will probably have to do without Coman.
