The 128th Kiel Week will take place from June 18th to 26th without Russian and Belarusian sailors.

The organizers made this decision with reference to the decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) of February 28th.

It states that “until further notice no entries will be accepted from sailors and/or supporting persons from Russia or Belarus. Existing entries will be rejected.”

The organizers of the other major German regatta weeks have also made their decision: Neither the Warnemünde Week (July 2nd to 10th) nor the Travemünde Week (July 22nd to 31st) will have sailors this year due to the Russian invasion of the Ukraine admitted from Russia or Belarus.
