Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies reach the quarter-finals at the ATP tournament in Sydney

The two-time Grand Slam winners Kevin Krawietz (29) and Andreas Mies (31) have won their first double match of the new season. The duo from Coburg and Cologne beat the Austrian-Dutch team Matwe Middelkoop / Philipp Oswald 6: 7 (2: 7), 6: 4, 10: 5 and reached the quarter-finals at the ATP tournament in Sydney.

Mies had to undergo cartilage surgery on his knee at the beginning of last year, which resulted in a long break. In the meantime, Krawietz played successfully with the Romanian Horia Tecau and qualified for the ATP Finals with his partner.

Now the “KraMies”, who won the French Open together in 2019 and 2020, want to attack together again. They will also compete as a duo at the Australian Open from January 17th.
