Kehl puts pressure on the BVB star because of the space transfer

Borussia Dortmund apparently plans to get serious about David Raum from TSG Hoffenheim. For this, the new sports director Sebastian Kehl puts the pistol on the chest of a BVB star. A decision has to be made, only then would there be room for the up-and-coming left-back.

David Raum has been associated with a move to Borussia Dortmund for weeks. The defender, who experienced a meteoric rise at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim last season and advanced to the DFB team, would be the fourth national player that BVB would like to sign during this transfer period.

Niklas Süle (from FC Bayern), Karim Adeyemi (from RB Salzburg) and Nico Schlotterbeck (from SC Freiburg) had previously switched to the black and yellow. But space hasn’t gotten that far yet. So far there has been a lot of speculation and little tangible about the left-back, who is also being closely monitored in the Premier League.

Most recently, the 24-year-old was even an issue at Manchester United, but because those responsible for the Red Devils now want to sign Tyrell Malacia from PSV Eindhoven, BVB will start a new attempt at Raum, speculates “Bild”. However, there are still a few things to be done beforehand.

Because the commitment of space is closely related to the fate of Raphael Guerreiro. The Portuguese, who has worn the BVB jersey since 2016, is considered a candidate for sale, was unable to repeat his previous performances in the past season and was unstable.

BVB wants a quick decision from Guerreiro

Guerreiro’s contract in Dortmund ends in the summer of 2023, so talks are planned in the near future. According to “Bild” information, sports director Kehl wants to speak plain language in these and literally put the pistol on the left-back’s chest. Either the 28-year-old extends or he has to leave this summer. Either way, a quick decision should be made.

20 million euros are therefore needed to free Guerreiro from Borussia. If an interested party pays this sum, he can “definitely” go, the report says.

Then BVB would not only save around six million euros in salary, but would also have a tidy sum that could be invested in the space transfer.

According to reports, he can imagine a change this summer, but is currently still on vacation. After that there should be a decision. Exactly how much Dortmund would have to put on the table for space is open. The 24-year-old’s exit clause of 30 million euros could only be activated next year. The national player should not be much more expensive in this transfer period either.
