Italy plans higher stadium occupancy

In view of the falling corona numbers, Italy is planning to relax the restrictions.

Health Minister Roberto Speranza and Secretary of State for Sport Valentina Vezzali plan to increase occupancy to 75 percent in football stadiums from March 1st. The Italian media report.

In indoor sports, 60 percent of the seats should be allowed to be occupied. The 2G obligation should continue to apply. So far, only 50 percent of the seats in the stadiums can be filled. If the epidemic situation in the country continues to ease, the government wants to return to full capacity.
