Is Dortmund working on the next loan deal?

Manchester United spent 21 million euros on Amad Diallo’s services last winter. However, the Ivorian has not yet made a breakthrough with the record champions from England. Now a lending business should bring about the turning point. BVB is said to be involved.

Is Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund getting reinforcements for the second half of the season? According to a report from “Sky”, the Revierklub has kept an eye on Amad Diallo. The 19-year-old should be loaned out until the end of the season, it is said.

The conditions on which the top talent could be available are not clear from the broadcaster’s report. It is clear that Diallo will not be part of the Red Devils’ regular staff even under the new team manager Ralf Rangnick. So far in the 2021/22 season he has featured three times in the Premier League and once in the Champions League. He also helped out with the U23 team in the fall. His contract was negotiated until 2025.

Diallo is considered an extremely fast and agile right winger. He was trained at Italian club Atalanta, where he made his Serie A debut as a 17-year-old in the 2019/20 season, scoring a goal in his first game.

Will BVB strike again in winter?

Next to Borussia Dortmund thinks “SkyAccording to the English second division club Derby County, the 1.74 meter tall attacker is also on loan.

However, whether BVB will even be active on the transfer market in winter is another matter. Sports director Michael Zorc had recently emphasized several times that there was basically no need. On the other hand, rumors of departures in winter became more and more frequent: In addition to reserve goalkeeper Roman Bürki, Brazilian loanee Reinier is also on the list of possible departures.

Reinier has been wearing the Borussia Dortmund jersey for a year and a half now, and he hasn’t made a breakthrough yet either. According to media reports from Spain, his parent club Real Madrid is therefore considering ending the loan deal prematurely.

Should the 2021 Olympic champion actually leave BVB, at least his position in the squad would be vacant. Whether this will then promptly be occupied by Amad Diallo remains to be seen.
